Creating database diagrams

One of the most unused features of SSMS is the diagramming tool.Sure, it may not be as robust as some third-party diagramming tools, but on the other hand, it is a very intuitive product.It has all the features needed to provide a visual representation of a database.

To create a new database diagram

         1.      In Object Explorer, right-click the Database Diagrams folder or any diagram in that folder.

         2.      Choose New Database Diagram on the shortcut menu.

         3.      The Add Table dialog box appears.

         4.      Select the required tables in the Tables list and click Add.

         5.      The tables are displayed graphically in the new database diagram.
